ACCOMPLISHMENTS We have successfully built the foundation for this young Institute and are now implementing our vision through our relationships with: • Federal and State agencies, • Industry, both on a national and international scale, • Foundations, • Schools, from high schools to universities. Since our founding in 1998, Oak Crest has established a solid track record of performance and innovation. With the growth of our new Pasadena facility, we expect to continue our progress towards meeting our important objectives. A selection of recent accomplishments include: • Were awarded a three year grant from the National Science Foundation to establish a unique Research Experience for Undergraduates program dedicated solely to students from local community colleges. • Developed and tested a critical enabling technology that allows sustained release drug delivery in applications ranging from Parkinson's Disease and schizophrenia to HIV, tuberculosis, and malaria. • Were the first to measure ammonia in vehicle exhaust via remote sensing equipment developed and tested at Oak Crest. • Developed a technology platform that enables the non-invasive measurement of cardiopulmonary diagnostic indicators for diagnosing heart disease.
