This week, Oak Crest summer programs were prominently showcased in a series of informative articles by the local news publication Monrovia Weekly. One article introduced the Summer Academy, a two-week science research mystery adventure for middle school students launched by Oak Crest in collaboration with the City of Monrovia in Summer 2018.
The second of three sessions is wrapping up this week and so far the students seem to be having fun while learning a lot of new scientific techniques and solving riddles. Our current team of YES interns and City staff, with the support of Oak Crest researchers, are doing a great job guiding the students through their journey.
