Under a slowly setting sun, the Oak Crest Institute of Science set up a display of microscopes and bug collection in the courtyard of the Arcadia Performing Arts Center at the annual STEAM-M event for Center members. The 1800 members who turned up had the opportunity to examine our bug collection using our microscopes, take pictures how with them, and talk with our outreach team of scientists. The microscopes were popular with kids and parents, and everyone enjoyed the wooden microscope they could use with their cell phones. We made lots of new friends and hope to see them again.
