Simon’s research is centered on investigating the mechanisms that determine the disposition of antiretroviral drugs administered orally or systemically for HIV prevention. Specifically, he is studying the flux of xenobiotics in ex vivo multilayer tissue cultures recreating the vaginal epithelium.
