How to Stay Safe and Continue during a Pandemic

A clinical study published by the Oak Crest Institute of Science documenting the effects of SARS-CoV-2 (the virus responsible for COVID-19) testing in the workplace was released today. Given the importance of the study results, a preprint is available on medRxiv while the manuscript is being peer-reviewed. The longitudinal study started in March 2020 and used the faculty, staff, students, and household members as participants to evaluate the impact of continuous, regular (three times per week) testing on worksite safety and productivity. The study provided much needed information about the spread of infection and the persistence of antibodies in the blood. One important consequence of the testing was to give employees the confidence to continue working on a normal schedule and thus limiting the catastrophic disruption suffered by other businesses.
