Students in the Pathways to STEM program recently experienced a behind-the-scenes tour of the California Botanic Garden in Claremont, gaining firsthand insight into careers in botany and environmental science.
Garden staff welcomed the group and showcased a wide range of professional pathways, guiding students through the outdoor nursery, herbarium, molecular biology labs, and histology facilities. The tour also highlighted the Garden’s extensive library collection, offering a glimpse into the research resources available to scientists in the field.
Despite the heat, students remained engaged throughout the visit, making the experience both memorable and worthwhile.
Many thanks to the staff at the California Botanic Garden for their hospitality
