Peptide Drug Discovery Core

Oak Crest’s internal peptide drug discovery core is focused a wide range of medicines, ranging from the treatment of drug-resistant fungal infections to autoimmune disorders. The discovery efforts interface heavily with the Micro & Molecular Biology Laboratory and the Chromatography core, and include the following equipment and instrumentation as part of an automated synthesis workflow:

Biotage Syro multiplexed (parallel) peptide synthesizer for Fmoc solid-phase peptide synthesis
Biotage Isolera flash chromatography system (2 systems)

A preparative-scale HPLC system is available for further peptide purification
OLIS DSM 20 circular dichroism spectrometer
Reichert SR700DC dual-channel surface plasmon resonance (SPR) system
